Back up for my 'Black Hole' Post

So the more I read, the more I'm starting to realize that I'm not the ONLY one experiencing these 'CRAZIES' during our process.

Read this post (shared by a fellow adoptive mom, waiting for their girl in China):  THE ADOPTION CRAZIES

I LOVE it....

As for the Black Hole of waiting....well, cooking this fall has apparently been a GREAT outlet for me in this waiting game!!!  Off to do some PUMPKIN baking now!!!

That's it, that's all!!!

On a budget...

...talked to our agency today and got the final numbers of what we owe by September (assuming we travel then).  It was ALOT....more than we've already paid! I mean I kinda knew how much, but kinda dug my head in the sand about it - getting all carried away with looking at our beautiful little girl!

That said, it's ALL good...we just have to 'pull up our socks', 'cut out the extras', 'go on a budget' or as my grandmother used to say 'go on an austerity program' from now until September to make this happen.  It's going to be ALL worth it the first time I squeeze my lil' Faith girl!!!

aus·ter·i·ty/ôˈsteritē/

Noun:
  1. Sternness or severity of manner or attitude.
  2. Extreme plainness and simplicity of style or appearance

Thankfully, we have almost everything we need for Faith in terms of clothes but the only toys we DO have are very young in age for her.  They WILL have to be enough until Christmas - when I'm pretty certain a little Birthday/Christmas princess will get a tad spoiled!!!  I'm sure she'll find some fun with the pots, pans and Tupperware cupboard until then!!!

As for clothes, we've been focusing on size 2 for the winter.  We have a few Capri's for our travel to China and mostly size 3 dresses (which will probably be big - but should fit next summer as well).   A friend brought over a little guy yesterday, who when measured, ended up being 'almost Faith's size' - and to my surprise, he had size 18 month shorts on that were falling off!  YIKES.  Well, at this point, we'll just have to wait when we travel because if I buy anymore clothes my husband and both sides of the family will SHOOT me - oh and because we are on an austerity program, remember!!!

This week, Jacques is out of town and Noah has been at an Entrepreneur Day Camp....and I've been having some fun!!!

I've been sewing up a storm for my sweet girl!  In total now, I've made 9 dresses (1 for a friend's daughter) and 1 ring sling for when we travel!

How different!

As we continue to wait patiently (for now), we continue  on with our daily routines of life.

This weekend is our local (for New Brunswick) home school conference in Sussex, NB.  This will be our 3rd conference and we LOVE attending them.  It's a weekend of family unity and spirituality and camaraderie.  It's also a weekend in which Jacques and I connect spiriatually and emotionally, a weekend that Noah connects and feels 'safe' playing with other home school children and a time of year when we make many decisions for the coming school year.

THAT SAID, we have already made our choice of curriculum for next year based on the fact that we (hopefully) will be transitioning a new little person into our family.  SO, the curriculum we purchased is extremely self worked on Noah's part!

Heading out to the conference this year and the fact that our curriculum is already purchased (using a completely different program then the past 2 years), I can't help but think just how different life will be (hopefully) next year!  It brings a smile to my face.

Life continues to be good, sweet and blessed!

Happy WEEKEND everyone!

On the right side bar, notice I've placed a little pole called:

'When will we get our referral for Faith?'

Take a stab, have some fun with us while we wait!

As well...leave a comment to guess one of the below 4 categories and you could win a prize (if I remember - could one of my closest friends remind me about the whole prize thing in the end, I'm assuming I may have 'new mommy' brain by then)!!!
